Although everyone in the U.S. is just gearing up for Turkey Day, we are washing crockpots, and Rick is icing his knee. Our day started early as we cooked TWELVE green bean casseroles, and 100 POUNDS of mashed potatoes for the Thunderbolt Feast. Thanks to Rick's charm, we got to use the industrial kitchen on base, and thanks to my threats of violence, we had a lot of help from the other pilots. Despite the 3 a.m. curfew that many of the fellas took advantage of Wednesday night, everyone reported to duty in the morning.
The meal was excellent, but the football game against the Maintenance group was a bit of a heartbreaker.
Overall, a fantastic day with so very much for us to be thankful for.
We learned that an industrial-sized mixer can fling taters twelve feet, and nearly blind you.
